Protect Your Investment

Your results are 50% artist based and 50% client based. Protect your investment by learning how to take care of your brows before and after your appointment.

Precare for Brows

For 2 weeks before your appointment:

  • No chemical peels, facials, microdermabrasion, products with alcohol on the face, toners, Glycolic Acid, Salicylic Acid, AHA/BHA/PHAs, or Retinoids around the brow area for brow clients.

  • Avoid tanning or having sunburnt skin on or around your brows.

  • Do not pluck, wax, tweeze or thread your eyebrows. This will affect the decisions made in your final brow shape.

  • Avoid dermal filler/botox around the brow and forehead area.

  • Avoid invasive laser treatments on your face.

For 72 hours before your appointment:

  • Avoid taking Aspirin, Niacin, Vitamin E, Fish oil, Advil, Ibuprofen, or any other blood thinning medication for all brow and lip clients. Please consult with a doctor before stopping any medication.

For 48 hours before your appointment:

  • Do not consume any alcohol, tea, or caffeinated beverages.

  • Do not smoke.

For 24 hours before your appointment:

  • Do not work out, exercise, or excessively sweat.

Aftercare for Brows

  1. For the first day after the procedure, gently wipe the brow with the provided wipes to absorb any excess lymphatic fluid and pigment. Do this repeatedly throughout the day and once more before bed.

  2. The day after your procedure, begin to wash your brows with the provided Aftercare Wash every morning and night. Apply a small amount of Aftercare Wash to freshly washed hands and gently wash the treated area. Rinse thoroughly with water and pat completely dry with a clean tissue.

  3. Apply a tiny, rice grain amount of the provided ointment morning and night to create a paper-thin layer of ointment across the brows. Be sure not to over-apply, as this will suffocate your skin and delay the healing process.

** For nano brow technique, begin Aftercare Wash and ointment 7 DAYS after your appointment.

  4. Continue Aftercare Wash and ointment every day, twice a day until all your scabs are gone.

Important Reminders:

  • Use a fresh pillowcase while you sleep. Avoid sleeping on your face. Any rubbing and tugging on your scabs will affect your pigment retention and healed results.

  • Let any scabbing or dry skin naturally exfoliate away. Do not rub, pick, or scratch your scabs. Picking at your scabs can cause scarring or loss of color.

  • No facials, botox, chemical treatments or microdermabrasion for two weeks. These treatments will interfere with your scabs and affect your healed results.

  • Laser Treatments must be done 2 weeks before or 2 weeks after your brow appointment. And in general, brows should be avoided during any laser treatment moving forward or the laser will remove the color from the brows like tattoo removal can.

  • Avoid direct sun exposure or tanning for 2 weeks after the procedure.

  • Avoid hot, sweaty, and intense exercise for one week. Sweat can cause infection.

  • Avoid long, hot showers until your scabs are gone. Steam and sauna activity can cause infection. Avoid getting your face wet in the shower by turning your face away from the water pressure. If your scabs are wet after the shower, immediately pat dry.

  • Avoid face-down swimming, lakes, and hot tubs until your scabs are gone.

  • Avoid makeup and sunscreen on the area until your scabs are gone.

Longterm Care

  • Inevitably, sun exposure to our face/lips will fade the color. To prolong your healed results, it is recommended to wear SPF over your lips.

  • Schedule your maintenance touchups accordingly. Everyone’s body fades pigment differently. Some clients may need a touchup after one year while others may want to wait two years. How long you should wait between your touchups is completely up to you. As the color fades, you will see your natural lip color restore. So when you’re ready to add more color or you see more of your natural lip color, it may by time for a touchup! If you are an existing client of INKEDBYCASS and you are unsure if you need a touchup, please email us a picture of your lips to inkedbycass@gmail.com or message on Instagram at @inkedbycass so we can give you our professional opinion. Not every client needs to do a touchup every year.
